  • Sugaring is a method of body hair removal, using a paste with a honey like consistency. It is made of only sugar, lemon and water.

    Body Sugaring originated from Ancient Egypt, known as Sukkar or Halawa, or Agda in Turkey, or as Moum in Iran.

  • -Sugar paste is all natural, eco-friendly, biodegradable and water soluble.

    -Sugar paste is body temperature which eliminates the risks of burns.

    -Sugar paste only adheres to dead skin cells and unwanted hair, while providing a gentle exfoliation.

    -Sugar is applied against the direction of hair then flicked off in the direction of growth, this technique is the opposite of waxing, resulting in removal of hair follicle and root and over time damaging the follicle wall, leading to slower regrowth and or permanent hair loss!

    -No breakage, preventing ingrown hairs and irritation.

    -Great for sensitive skin, all hair types and gentle enough for all stages of pregnancy.

    At Sunrise Sugaring we use biodegradable gloves, and sugaring doesn’t require sticks and strips, which is so much better for the environment!

  • -Hair should be close to ¼” long, about a length of grain of rice.

    -Start a gentle exfoliation routine to remove dead skin and encourage trapped hairs to surface for removal.

    -Start a moisturizing routine to soften skin for optimal hair removal.

    -Day Of Appointment, come with clean skin, no lotions, oils, creams, deodorant and no exfoliating necessary.

    -To help with pain management you may take an Ibuprofen 30 mins before an appointment.

    -Wear loose clothing for comfort and breathability

  • -Let your skin rest for 24 hours, no tanning, working out, hot water environments, and exfoliating.

    -Avoid physical activities for 24 hours that will make you sweat. Sweat will clog your freshly sugared skin and may introduce bacteria.

    -After 24 hours, keep up with gentle exfoliation every other day.

    -Moisturizing everyday not only softens but helps your skin regulate oil production, keeping it healthy!

    -We recommend new clients to book your first 3 appointments 4 weeks apart to encourage hair growth to be on the same cycle, as hair begins to thin and regrowth is slower we can spread out the frequency of visits
